(Senior) Data Engineer - data catalog

Your tasks

Responsible for the technical development of ALDI Nord‘s Data Catalog.

• Together with your team, you design, develop and operate core technical solutions, policies and processes around ALDI Nord’s Data Catalog
• You collaborate closely with ALDI Nord's product teams to design and implement new features for the Data Catalog, and support with the rollout of the new features
• You steer and test the integration of new source systems to establish new connections to various data sources
• You perform regular deployments as part of the software delivery process

Requirements

• Experience with development and operation of cloud technologies as well as programming experience (Python)
• Bachelor or Masters Degree in (business) informatics or comparable fields and relevant job experience
• Data-driven background with interest in researching and designing new features and architecture
• Proficiency in reading and understanding business and technical documentation
• Language skills: minimum English C1
